This session will focus on the fastest-growing drug sector. Industry projections have the growth rate at 20% per year. The care and delivery of specialty pharmaceuticals over the years has migrated toward managed care. The webcast will cover:

• Proactive strategies that expand patient access and control costs

 ABOUT THE PRESENTER: 
 Nicole Hancy, Pharm.D. - Director of Clinical Services
 WellDyne Rx

 Nicole Hancy is the Director of Clinical Services for WellDyneRx. In this role,  she assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical  programs, and supports RFP responses, best and final presentations, and  other activities related to new business opportunities. With over seven years  of experience in the pharmacy benefit management industry, Dr. Hancy  brings the fundamental knowledge necessary to optimize formulary management, rebate management, utilization management, and outcomes research and validation.

Dr. Hancy is a licensed pharmacist in Nebraska and Colorado, and an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy and the American Pharmacists Association. She also has conducted extensive research that includes the application of pharmacogenomics screening into a specialty drug management program, and pharmacist-run medication therapy management programs, which have been published in medical journals such as The Journal of Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy and American Health & Drug Benefits. 

Dr. Hancy received her undergraduate degree from Doane College and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Pharmacy, and she completed her managed care pharmacy training at BlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska.
