James P. Farley, President (Principal) J.P. Farley Corporation

Jim founded The J.P. Farley Corporation in 1979. Prior to that time from 1970-1979, he was a group health insurance representative. While having this experience with a large insurance carrier, he determined that Plan Sponsors could better manage their plans if they were self-funded.

Actively involved in the leadership of the Third Party Administration Industry, Jim has served as the president of The Self Funded Institute of Ohio, Chairman of the National Association of Employee Benefits Administrators, Chairman of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators, and President of QUBIC, a consortium of third party administrators.

He has testified in legislative and rule making hearings at the state and federal levels and served on the Ohio Department of Insurance Administrators Review Board. Jim graduated from Ohio University in 1970 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and earned his Masters of Science degree in Financial Services at the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is also a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC).
